TourBackpacker: Arequipay Backpackers Downtown Hostel, Arequipa, Peru

Arequipay Backpackers Downtown Hostel is a very nice and very popular hostel in Arequipa. Only five blocks away from Plaza Armas. The location is great for all the amenities you might need (banks, groceries, markets...) The place was almost full every night and the people I met there were just awesome. The staff is great and very helpful to find your way around town.

It is a whole 3 stories house that is used for dorm rooms and private rooms also. The looks of the place is very good and there is no mistaking that you will have a good time at this hostel. You will never be alone here and the prices are good for the services that you get.

Beds are comfortable with plenty of blankets so you will stay warm at night even if the weather is colder at night. The dorms are big enough and have personal lockers for every bed that are big enough to fit you're big backpack if needed.

No need to worry about security, the hostel in in a small street that has a big gate for coming in and the entrance of the hostel itself also has a locked gate. You can come in at any time of day. You just need to ring the bell and they will let you in, even at 4am. The front desk always as at least one person to serve you and there is a good cleanup staff that works very hard to keep everything in order. Check-ins are at 11h am and Check-Outs are at 10h30 am.

They also have a big service for organizing tours, if this is what you like. Whenever you want an easy solution for a tour they will find it for you. They had Colca Canyon tours, rafting tours, tours to climb El Misti Volcano and much more.
